Statement
Being an artist since he could first hold a pencil, Austin transitioned his experience as an artist into the tattoo medium in 2006 and is now co-founder of Transformation Gallery & Tattoo. Art, family, and God are where his passion and energy are spent.
Austin’s approach to art is primarily founded in the style of art nouveau that implements bold and volumetric lineweight, contrasted with soft, intrinsic colors and gradients creating a dynamic combination of realism and heavy stylization.
His aim is to treat the tattoo medium as a fine art form by utilizing elements that have remained relevant and compelling through history. He utilizes the preexisting rhythm and curvature of the human form to create naturally flowing curves that effortlessly guide the eye throughout the piece, creating a look that is bold and innate.
